Expert tasting note: (2022 vintage) "Deep, dark, not quite opaque purple-red. Very aromatic violet perfume precedes prune & raisin aromas. The palate is rich & ripe with generous chocolatey notes, black-cherry, sweet black-licorice, olive, raisin, prune, mulberry & sweet spices. Tannins are rounded & ripe & alcohol adds warmth to the finish. A long finish shows high-toned black-fruit, plum, raisin, chocolate & sweet spices before a meaty touch at the end." - 04/23 (ep) DCAMW
