Expert tasting note: (2022 vintage) "Deep, dark purple-red color loses no intensity to a purple rim. Aromas are of restrained dark-fruit, graphite & clean cedary oak. Excellent acidity lifts dark-cherry & licorice fruit from a graphite core. Drying spices & a leafy crunch overlay the fruit. The structure combines elegance & power, plentiful, fine-grained tannins giving good grip. Alcohol adds warmth. Cassis fruit & exotic spices on the finish to give good bite." - 04/23 DCAMW
