Expert tasting note: (2022 vintage) "Deep, dark, virtually opaque ruby-red color. Aromas are of classic violet perfume & lifted red-fruit. The palate is fresh with quite meaty dark-fruit & sweet oak spice. The wine is medium to full bodied with a tight core of smooth-graphite. Very fine tannins are superbly integrated with the fruit, giving a silky-smooth, cocoa powder texture. Restrained cassis reveals itself on the mid-palate, giving the finish a fresh black-fruit nature." - 04/23 (ep) DCAMW
