Expert tasting note: (2022 vintage) "Deep, dark black-purple color holds well to a vivid purple rim. Lifted, leafy cassis perfume with well-integrated cedary notes. The palate is fresh with juicy black-cherry notes which close up to a bitter licorice & graphite core of concentrated, tary fruit. The wine has lovely freshness & the alcohol seems balanced. Oak gives a toasty/graphite notes to the mid-palate. The finish combines tight graphite with juicy black-fruit to ensure good length." - 04/23 DCAMW
