Expert tasting note: (2022 vintage) "Deep, dark, opaque black-purple color with a purple rim. Aromas are of graphite, cedar & leafy cassis. The palate combines dark-fruit & spices. Very fine, grainy tannins are initially gripping but also shows graphite smoothness & cedary spices. Dark-fruit on the mid palate has a cassis & sweet licorice nature. Alcohol adds some warmth. Mouth-watering, fresh cassis overlays licorice richness on an exceptionally long finish." - 04/23 DCAMW
