Expert tasting note: (2022 vintage) "A virtually opaque, deep, dark black-purple color loses no color to a dark purple rim. Aromas are dense & chocolatey. The palate is initially open & fresh, with intense elderberry fruit opening to show a juicy, mulberry nature. Plentiful drying tannins take over giving the mid-palate a cedary structure & exotic spices. The fruit remains fresh throughout & the alcohol is balanced. An enduring finish is structured with very fine tannins." - 04/23 DCAMW
