Expert tasting note: (2022 vintage) "Intense dark, purple-black color holds to a purple rim. Opulent ripe black-cherry aromas overlaying vanilla & chocolate notes. Fruit on the palate is very juicy & mouth-watering, the black-fruit having hints of raisined over-maturity. Alcohol lends warmth to the mid-palate, acidity is fresh & the tannins give good bite. There is some dark-fruit freshness on the finish, but the structure gives some astringency that closes up the fruit prematurely." - 04/23 (ep) DCAMW
