Expert tasting note: (2022 vintage) "Deep, dark, virtually opaque black-purple color that holds well to the rim. The intense, rich aromas have a lifted nature. The palate shows fresh cassis/blackcurrant fruit with fine, gripping tannins. The structure is fine-grained with well integrated cedary oak, from which the warming alcohol draws exotic sweet spices. Intense, ripe fruit on the finish is juicy with a bitter licorice hint that adds a drying touch." - 04/23 DCAMW
